Slow-cooked seasoned pork filling for hot sandwiches.
Ingredients:
  • 1 boneless pork roast (3 lb), trimmed of fat, cut into thin strips
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion (1 large)
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
  • 1 1/2 cups ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 18 sandwich buns, split
Instructions:
  • Combine all the ingredients in a 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker, excluding the buns.
  • Cover and simmer on low heat for 6 to 8 hours.
  • Fill each bun with a generous 1/3 cup of the delicious pork mixture.
