Delicious slow-cooked cinnamon apples - a perfect dessert in one pot!
Ingredients:
  • 6 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled, cut into eighths
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup maple-flavored syrup
  • 1/4 cup sweetened dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Instructions:
  • Prepare the slow cooker by spraying it with cooking spray. Mix apples and lemon juice in the slow cooker until coated. Add brown sugar, walnuts, syrup, cranberries, melted butter, and cinnamon; mix thoroughly.
  • Cover and let simmer on Low heat for 3 hours.
  • Combine water and cornstarch in a small bowl until smooth. Add to the apple mixture in the slow cooker. Cover and cook for an additional 3 hours or until the apples are tender.
