Tender beef short ribs coated in ranch seasoning, slow cooked with onions, red wine, and mustard for ultimate flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 4 pounds bone-in beef short ribs
  • 1 teaspoon Hidden Valley® Original Ranch® Salad Dressing & Seasoning Mix
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 onions, quartered
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • Kosher salt and ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
  • Coat short ribs evenly by placing them in a Glad® zipper bag and adding Hidden Valley® Original Ranch® Salad Dressing and Seasoning Mix. Seal the bag and toss to coat.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven until sizzling hot. Sear the short ribs on all sides until nicely browned, this may require two batches, for about 10 to 12 minutes total.
  • Place the short ribs in the slow cooker, arranging the onions around them. Combine red wine and mustard, then pour the mixture over the ribs. Cover the slow cooker.
  • Slow cook for 8 hours or 4 hours on high. Remove any excess fat. Season with salt and pepper. Enjoy over noodles, rice, or potatoes.
