Effortless prep in the morning for a delicious dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 3 to 3 1/2 lb cut-up frying chicken
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 medium bulb garlic (about 20 cloves)
Instructions:
  • Combine salt, paprika, pepper, and oil in a small bowl to create a flavorful paste; generously spread the mixture over each piece of chicken for a delicious seasoning.
  • In a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker, layer onion slices on the bottom. Add chicken pieces on top of the onions and scatter unpeeled garlic cloves around the chicken.
  • Cover and let simmer on the Low setting for 7 to 8 hours.
  • Using a slotted spoon, transfer the chicken, onion, and garlic from the slow cooker to a serving platter. Squeeze the garlic cloves to enjoy the roasted garlic on mashed potatoes, vegetables, or bread.
