Make savory chicken jerky with smoked salt, herbs, and spices for a delicious snack.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 pounds frozen skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 0.75 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup teriyaki marinade
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon smoked salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions:
  • Slice the half-frozen chicken thinly along the grain into strips measuring at about 1/4-inch thick.
  • Combine soy sauce, teriyaki marinade, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, lemon juice, smoked salt, ginger, garlic powder, black pepper, and cayenne in a bowl. Transfer the marinade into a resealable plastic bag. Add chicken strips, ensuring they are well-coated. Remove excess air from the bag, seal it tightly, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight.
  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees F (80 degrees C. Prepare a wire rack by spraying it with cooking spray, then place it on a rimmed baking sheet.
  • Pat chicken dry and arrange on the prepared rack snugly, ensuring pieces do not overlap. Dispose of any excess marinade.
  • Roast in the preheated oven, turning halfway, until the chicken is evenly golden-orange and cooked through, 4 to 5 hours.
