Whip up these quick and satisfying hot sandwiches for a delicious lunch or dinner in just 20 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 4 large slices sourdough bread (1/2 inch thick)
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
  • 4 oz smoky Cheddar cheese, sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1/4 cup cooked real bacon bits (from 3-oz jar)
  • 6 thin slices tomato
  • 2 thin slices onion, separated into rings
Instructions:
  • Preheat panini maker or closed contact grill for 5 minutes. Butter one side of each slice of bread. On the unbuttered side of 2 slices, layer half of the cheese. Add chicken, bacon, tomato, onion, and remaining cheese evenly. Place the remaining 2 slices of bread on top, buttered sides facing up.
  • Place the sandwiches on the grill, let them cook for 3 to 5 minutes until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted. Finally, cut each sandwich in half before serving.
