Smothered Pork Chops with Pasta

Creamy mushroom sauce pork chops and pasta made with Ultimate Hamburger Helper®, a surefire family favorite!
Ingredients:
  • 5 pork loin chops, 1/2 inch thick (4 oz each)
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 package (8 oz) sliced mushrooms (3 cups)
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1 box Ultimate Hamburger Helper™ creamy stroganoff
  • Fresh parsley, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Sear pork chops for about 2 minutes on each side until they develop a golden-brown crust. Transfer the pork chops to a plate and set aside.
  • Lower the heat to medium. In the same skillet, heat oil until it shimmers. Add onion and mushrooms; sauté for 3 minutes, stirring regularly. Mix in milk and the seasoning mix from the Ultimate Hamburger Helper box, bring to a boil. Place the pork chops back in the skillet and spoon some sauce over them. Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 9-11 minutes, stirring and turning the pork chops occasionally, until they are no longer pink in the center.
  • In a 2-quart saucepan, bring water to a boil and add the uncooked pasta from the Ultimate Hamburger Helper box. Cook for about 10 minutes until the pasta is tender, stirring occasionally. Drain the pasta and cover to keep warm.
  • Combine the creamy sauce from the Ultimate Hamburger Helper box into the skillet mixture, stirring constantly until hot. Serve the pork chops and sauce over pasta, and top with a sprinkle of fresh parsley for a beautiful finish.
