Soft and delicious sandwich rolls made with sour cream and various flours. Use a bread machine for effortless kneading.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon buckwheat flour
  • 3 tablespoons raw sugar
  • 1.75 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1.75 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 0.33 cup sour cream
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil
Instructions:
  • Combine all-purpose flour, wheat flour, buckwheat flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a medium bowl, stirring until well mixed.
  • In the bread machine, combine water, sour cream, egg, and oil; then top with dry ingredients. Select the Dough cycle and let it run until done.
  • Preheat the oven to a gentle Warm setting (max 200°F or 90°C) and prepare a cookie sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  • Shape the dough into a 12 to 14 inch long tube. Cut it into 12 equal pieces, then roll each piece into a ball in the palm of your hand, pinching the bottom to ensure they are equal in size. Place the dough balls evenly on the prepared cookie sheet.
  • Allow the dough to proof in the cozy oven until it doubles in size, for about 20 to 30 minutes. Once ready, take it out and raise the oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 15 to 20 minutes. Allow the rolls to cool completely on a rack, then slice them in half to assemble a delicious sandwich for yourself.
