Total Time:
Caribbean-inspired T-bone steaks with pineapple preserves for a taste of paradise.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup pineapple preserves
  • 1/4 cup purchased teriyaki baste and glaze
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 4 (1-lb.) beef T-bone or 4 (1-inch-thick) beef porterhouse steaks
  • 3 teaspoons Caribbean jerk seasoning
Instructions:
  • Preheat the gas or charcoal grill. In a small saucepan, mix all the glaze ingredients thoroughly. Cook over low heat until the preserves are melted, stirring frequently.
  • Massage the jerk seasoning onto both sides of the steaks until well coated.
  • Once the grill is hot, place the steaks on a gas grill over medium heat or on a charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from the medium coals. Cook for 12 to 18 minutes until cooked to your liking, flipping occasionally and basting with glaze in the final 2 minutes of cooking.
  • Heat the remaining glaze until it boils, then drizzle the warm glaze over the steaks before serving.
