Boost your energy with zesty spiced almonds.
Ingredients:
  • 20g butter
  • 500.00 ml whole blanched almonds
  • 4.80 gm salt
  • 5.00 gm caster sugar
  • 1.25 gm smoked paprika
  • 2.50 gm sweet paprika
  • 1.25 gm ground cumin
  • pinch cayenne pepper
Instructions:
  • Prepare the spice mix by thoroughly blending all ingredients together in a bowl.
  • In a frying pan over medium heat, melt the butter with oil. Add almonds and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes until lightly browned. Remove from heat.
  • Remove any additional oil. Sprinkle with spice mix and mix well to cover completely. Place back on heat.
  • Stir and cook for 2 minutes until golden brown. Transfer to a tray to cool slightly. Serve warm or cold.
