Try our flavorful spiced fruit compote for a delicious and nutritious meal.
Ingredients:
  • 112.50 gm white sugar
  • 131.25 gm unsweetened orange juice
  • 125.00 ml dried apple, halved
  • 125.00 ml dried apricots
  • 125.00 ml dried peaches
  • 125.00 ml dried pears
  • 125.00 ml prunes
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 40.00 ml flaked almonds
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, blend sugar, orange juice, and 1 cup of cold water until the sugar dissolves, stirring for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Combine the apple, apricots, peaches, pears, prunes, star anise, and cinnamon stick in the pot. Stir well. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and cook covered for 15 minutes until the fruit is plump. Uncover and simmer for another 10 minutes until the syrup thickens slightly and the fruit is soft.
  • Dollop fruit and syrup into bowls, then sprinkle with almonds before serving.
