Spiced Nuts 'n Chex® Mix (1/2 Recipe)

Spicy 30-minute Chex® cereal mix with red hot chili powder and red pepper spice for a fiery kick.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 cup Corn Chex™ cereal
  • 1 cup Rice Chex™ cereal
  • 1 cup Wheat Chex™ cereal
  • 1 cup mixed nuts (from 11.5-oz can)
Instructions:
  • Combine sugar, chili powder, and red pepper in a small bowl.
  • Place butter in a large microwave-safe bowl and microwave uncovered on High for about 30 seconds until melted. Add cereal and nuts, stirring until evenly coated. Incorporate sugar mixture, stirring until evenly coated.
  • Microwave on High, stirring halfway through, until mixture starts to brown. Spread on waxed paper and let cool for 15 minutes. Store in an airtight container.
