Spicy Sausage Pizza Pie

Elevate your gathering with a quick and easy Bisquick® pizza pie ready in just 15 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound bulk pork sausage
  • 1 can (8 ounces) pizza sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
  • 2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/4 cup process cheese spread, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • Green and red bell pepper rings, if desired
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 ounces)
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a large cookie sheet. Cook sausage in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until no longer pink. Drain any excess fat and then mix in pizza sauce and oregano. Set aside.
  • Combine Bisquick mix, cheese spread, and hot water until a soft dough forms. Transfer the dough to a surface dusted with Bisquick mix and roll it to coat. Shape it into a ball and knead 5 times. Roll the dough into a 14-inch circle and place it on a cookie sheet. Spread the sausage mixture over the crust within 3 inches of the edge. Fold the edge over the mixture, leaving the center open. Decorate with bell pepper rings and a sprinkle of cheese.
  • Bake for 23-25 minutes or until the crust turns a light golden brown and the cheese is melted to perfection.
