Succulent New York steak stir-fried with colorful veggies in a sweet and spicy Chardonnay sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons dark sesame oil
  • 0.5 pound New York steak, cut into 1/4-inch strips
  • 1 cup frozen broccoli florets
  • 1 cup frozen sugar snap peas
  • 1 cup baby carrots, cut into 1/4-inch pieces
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 cup Chardonnay wine
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sizzle sesame oil and brown steak for about 5 minutes. Set steak aside and keep the skillet on the stove. Stir-fry broccoli, snap peas, carrots, and bell pepper in the same skillet until veggies start to soften, about 5 to 7 minutes. Combine with the steak and keep warm.
  • Pour the wine, honey, dark soy sauce, and red pepper flakes into the skillet, making sure to scrape up any delicious browned bits from the bottom. Add the beef and vegetables to the wine mixture, then simmer and stir until the sauce is nicely reduced, approximately 10 minutes.
