Indulgent spinach dip baked in a cozy bread bowl for the ultimate comfort food experience.
Ingredients:
  • 1 can (11 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original French Bread
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 box (9 oz) frozen chopped spinach
  • 1 package (3 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons shredded fresh Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Put the French bread dough seam side down on the sheet and brush it with melted butter.
  • Bake for 17 to 19 minutes until beautifully light golden brown. Use a bread knife to carefully hollow out the center of the loaf by cutting a V-shape lengthwise down the center to within 1/2 inch of the bottom. You can discard or bake* the bread cutout scraps.
  • Cook the spinach following the package instructions. Drain thoroughly and press with paper towels to remove excess liquid. Combine the cooked spinach, cream cheese, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, mayonnaise, bell pepper, and garlic in a medium bowl. Mix well. Fill the hollowed-out French bread loaf with the spinach mixture.
  • After baking for 15 minutes, generously sprinkle the top with the remaining 2 tablespoons of shredded Parmesan cheese. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 3 to 5 minutes, or until the spinach filling is heated through and the bread is a deep golden brown. Let it cool for 5 minutes before cutting into slices and serving.
