Create a creamy spinach dip in a bread bowl using Yoplait® yogurt for a crowd-pleasing appetizer.
Ingredients:
  • 2 boxes (9 ounces each) frozen chopped spinach
  • 1 can (8 ounces) sliced water chestnuts, drained, chopped
  • 1 cup chopped green onions (about 9)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup Yoplait® plain yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh or 1/2 teaspoon dried tarragon leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard (dry)
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1-pound unsliced round bread loaf
Instructions:
  • Prepare the spinach according to package instructions, then allow it to cool. Squeeze out the excess water from the spinach and discard it. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except for the bread. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld together.
  • For a beautiful presentation, slice off the top of the loaf, creating a 1- to 2-inch slice. Carefully hollow out the loaf to create a 1-inch shell, using a serrated knife. Tear the top slice and the removed bread into bite-size pieces before serving.
  • Lay the bread on a serving plate and generously stuff it with creamy spinach dip. Place the bread pieces around the loaf for easy scooping and dunking.
