Elevate Chex Mix with a zesty blend of sriracha and honey for a tantalizing mix of salty, sweet, and spicy flavors. Simple to make and sure to be a crowd favorite.
Ingredients:
  • 8 cups Chex (any mix of rice, corn, and/or wheat)
  • 1 1/2 to 2 cups pretzels
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups cheese crackers
  • 1 cup roasted cashews
  • 6 tablespoons salted butter, cubed
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons sriracha hot sauce
Instructions:
  • Heat your oven to 250°F.
  • Combine Chex, pretzels, cheese crackers, and cashews in a large mixing bowl. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter for 30 seconds until just soft. Stir in the honey, sriracha, and soy sauce. Microwave in short intervals, stirring until everything is melted and well mixed.
  • Combine: Gently mix half of the sauce into the Chex mixture using a rubber spatula or large wooden spoon until fully coated. Pour the remaining sauce over the mixture and continue tossing until everything is evenly coated.
  • Bake the mixture in a large roasting pan or divide it between two rimmed half-sheet pans. Spread it out evenly. Bake for 20 minutes, then stir and spread the mixture again. Repeat twice more for a total of 45 minutes, swapping pans from top to bottom if using two. The mix should be fragrant and lightly toasty, it will get crispier as it cools.
  • Allow the Chex mix to cool completely before serving or storing. Transfer to an airtight container and it will stay fresh at room temperature for up to a week. If you enjoyed this recipe, please consider leaving a review below!
