Sizzling steaks with spicy chickpeas and tender baby potatoes - a family favorite!
Ingredients:
  • 36.40 gm olive oil
  • 1 medium brown onion, halved, thinly sliced
  • 410g can Indian style chopped tomatoes with curry spices
  • 400g can chickpeas, drained, rinsed
  • 100g baby spinach
  • 8 (385g total) beef sizzle steaks
  • Steamed chat potatoes, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a medium saucepan, heat half of the oil over medium heat. Sauté onion for 3 to 4 minutes until golden and softened. Add tomato and chickpeas, cook for 2 to 3 minutes until heated through. Finally, add spinach and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes until wilted.
  • Preheat a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Drizzle the steaks with the remaining oil and cook for 30 seconds on each side for a medium doneness or to your preferred level. Serve the steaks with the tomato mixture and steamed potatoes.
