Elevate your barbecue game with steakhouse cheddar burgers topped with bacon-infused barbecue sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb ground beef sirloin
  • 1/4 cup steak sauce
  • Salt and fresh ground black pepper
  • 4 thick slices Cheddar cheese
  • 4 thick slices bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 large onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon packed brown sugar
  • Salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
Instructions:
  • Preheat the grill on high. Combine beef, steak sauce, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Form the mixture into 4 patties and set them aside.
  • In a skillet, crisp up bacon until golden. Add in onion, brown sugar, salt, and pepper; sauté until onion is tender, about 3 minutes. Mix in ketchup; simmer for 1 to 2 minutes. Take off heat, transfer the sauce to a bowl, cover, and set aside.
  • Grill the patties over medium heat for about 5 minutes on each side or until the meat thermometer reads 160°F when inserted in the center. Top each patty with cheese and grill for an additional minute.
  • Place the patties onto the bottom halves of the buns, then generously spoon the warm bacon-onion BBQ sauce over them before gently placing the top halves of the buns on top to create a delicious burger.
