Spice up Asian night with zesty Gold Medal® flour coated chicken wings, a crowd-pleasing appetizer!
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons grated gingerroot
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha hot chili sauce, or 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons red pepper sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 5 lb chicken wing drummettes
  • 1 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
Instructions:
  • Combine all glaze ingredients in a 1-quart saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently until sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Place the pepper sauce, oil, salt, pepper, and chicken in a 2-gallon resealable plastic bag. Seal the bag and shake well to coat the chicken. Add the flour, seal the bag again, and shake until the chicken is evenly coated.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Cover two baking sheets with heavy-duty foil and generously spray with cooking spray.
  • Spread out the chicken pieces on baking sheets. Bake in the oven uncovered for 30 minutes, then flip the chicken over and rotate the pans. Continue baking for another 20 to 30 minutes until the chicken is crispy and fully cooked.
  • Coat chicken generously with the flavorful glaze in a spacious bowl.
