Elevate your banana bread with crumbly streusel topping for irresistible flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter, cut into pieces
  • 4 very ripe bananas, mashed
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted, cooled to room temperature
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly coat a 9x5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
  • Combine all Streusel ingredients in a small bowl, except for the butter. Use your fingers to work the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles wet sand. Refrigerate.
  • Combine mashed bananas, melted and cooled butter, 1 cup sugar, egg, milk, and vanilla in a large bowl. In a separate small bowl, mix 1 1/2 cups flour, baking powder, salt, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Gently fold banana mixture into flour mixture until just combined. Transfer batter into a loaf pan, spread evenly, and sprinkle streusel on top.
  • Bake in the center of the oven for about 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let it cool in the pan on a cooling rack for 5 minutes, then remove from the pan and cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
