Indulgent banana chocolate cake with a hint of cinnamon, ideal for any celebration.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/2 cup Gold Medal™ whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 ripe medium bananas, mashed (about 1 cup)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Gold Medal™ whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons cold butter or margarine
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 425°F and generously grease a 9-inch square pan with shortening or cooking spray.
  • Combine Bisquick mix, 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup brown sugar, mashed bananas, milk, and vanilla in a large bowl. Gently incorporate chocolate chips and then pour mixture into pan.
  • Combine 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1/4 cup of flour, and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Use a pastry blender or two knives to cut in the butter until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the batter in the pan.
  • Bake for 17 to 20 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow it to cool on a cooling rack.
