Sugar-free fruity bar cookies with dates, prunes, and raisins for a naturally sweet and delicious treat.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup pitted dates
  • 0.5 cup pitted prunes
  • 0.5 cup chopped raisins
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.5 cup margarine
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
Instructions:
  • Chop dates, prunes, and raisins. Boil them with water for 5 minutes. Stir in margarine, then let it cool.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Combine the eggs, vanilla, and nuts with the fruit mixture. Then, sift in the flour, baking soda, and salt. For a deliciously spiced bar, mix in 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon and 1/4 tsp. of nutmeg to the flour mixture.
  • Pour the mixture into a 7 x 11 inch pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
