Award-Winning Macaroon Recipe: Cookie mix, coconut, and sweetened condensed milk create irresistible treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 bag (14 oz) flaked coconut
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon butter or margarine
Instructions:
  • Combine the cookie mix and coconut in a large bowl. Mix in the milk and sweetened condensed milk until fully combined. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours before continuing.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Prepare cookie sheets with parchment paper or use ungreased sheets. Use a 1-tablespoon cookie scoop to place dough on sheets, keeping them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 12 to 14 minutes until edges are lightly golden brown. Allow to cool for 5 minutes, then transfer from baking sheets to cooling racks. Let cool completely.
  • In a small microwavable bowl, heat chocolate chips and butter on High for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Drizzle melted chocolate over cookies using a fork. Store with a loose cover.
