Classic savory meatballs made with a blend of beef and pork, seasoned to perfection. Drizzled with creamy sour cream gravy for a delicious and comforting meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb ground beef (at least 80% lean)
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 3/4 cup Progresso™ Plain Panko Crispy Bread Crumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teapoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup Gold Medal™ All-Purpose Flour*
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups water
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
Instructions:
  • Combine meatball ingredients in a large bowl until thoroughly mixed. Form the mixture into 24 meatballs (each about 1 3/4-inch in size). Sear the meatballs in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown. Transfer the cooked meatballs to a heatproof plate, cover to retain warmth. Discard excess fat from the skillet, keeping the flavorful browned bits in the pan.
  • In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour, paprika, salt, and pepper until bubbly. Gradually pour in the water while stirring constantly over medium heat until the mixture boils and thickens.
  • Simmer meatballs in gravy over gentle heat for 8 to 10 minutes until fully cooked. Gently fold in sour cream until well combined.
