Tangy sweet-sour meatballs cooked in a thick sauce, perfect over rice for a delicious meal!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 0.5 cup cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, thoroughly blend beef, bread crumbs, onion, egg, salt, and pepper until fully incorporated to create flavorful meatballs.
  • Roll the mixture into 1 1/2-inch diameter balls.
  • Brown and cook meatballs in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until evenly golden and cooked through.
  • Prepare the sauce by combining brown sugar, water, ketchup, vinegar, soy sauce, and cornstarch in a medium bowl until the mixture is smooth.
  • Drizzle sauce on top of the meatballs and gently simmer on low until the sauce thickens, for about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Indulge in the piping hot deliciousness!
