Spicy buttery baked chicken wings, keto-friendly with blue cheese dip, ideal for game day appetizers.
Ingredients:
  • aluminum foil
  • cooking spray
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.75 cup hot pepper sauce (such as Valentina®)
  • 0.25 cup sucralose sugar substitute (such as Splenda®)
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 pounds chicken wing pieces, drumettes and flats
  • 0.5 cup blue cheese salad dressing
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and prepare a baking pan by lining it with foil and placing a greased wire rack inside.
  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter until it's bubbling and fragrant. Stir in the hot sauce, sucralose, salt, and garlic powder until fully combined. Take the sauce off the heat and let it sit aside for later use.
  • Arrange the chicken wing pieces on the prepared rack.
  • After 15 minutes of baking in the preheated oven, remove the chicken, discard any accumulated juices, and flip the pieces over. Continue baking for another 15 minutes.
  • - Take the chicken out of the oven and place it in a big bowl. - Drizzle sauce over the chicken and mix well to coat it. - Place the chicken back on the rack over the baking pan and bake for 15 to 30 minutes until fully cooked. - Check that the chicken is thoroughly cooked by inserting an instant-read thermometer near the bone - it should read 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
