Transform Pacific tuna with zesty marinade, sear for a tantalizing dish bursting with South-East Asian flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 31.50 gm fresh lime juice
  • 22.00 gm sweet chilli sauce
  • 2 tsp kecap manis
  • 4 (about 180g) tuna steaks, cut into 3cm pieces
  • Olive oil spray
  • Sweet chilli sauce, extra, to serve
  • Lime wedges, to serve
Instructions:
  • Mix lime juice, sweet chili sauce, and kecap manis in a shallow glass or ceramic dish. Skewer the tuna and coat with the mixture. Marinate in the fridge for 30 minutes, covered.
  • Prepare a large non-stick frying pan by spraying it with olive oil. Heat the pan on high heat. Add one-quarter of the skewers to the pan and cook each side for 30 seconds, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Transfer the cooked skewers to a serving platter. Repeat this process in 3 more batches with the remaining skewers, making sure to reheat the pan between batches.
  • Present the skewers alongside the deliciously sweet chili sauce and fresh lime wedges.
