Raisin breakfast bread, delicious when toasted.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup raisins
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan, preferably glass.
  • Combine smooth butter and sugar in a medium bowl. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in sour cream. Blend flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt; mix into the sour cream until just combined. Gently mix in raisins, then pour batter into the loaf pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
