Creamy cottage cheese and sour cream elevate this sweet noodle kugel with plump raisins - a guaranteed family favorite!
Ingredients:
  • 1 (12 ounce) package yolk-free egg noodles
  • 0.5 cup sweet butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 (16 ounce) container creamed cottage cheese
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 cup raisins
  • 2 large eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup crushed cornflakes
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 450 degrees F (230 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • 1. Boil a large pot of lightly salted water until rapidly boiling. Cook egg noodles until tender but still slightly firm, about 10 to 12 minutes. Drain and transfer back to the pot.
  • Combine hot noodles with luxurious creamy butter, then blend in the rich combination of cottage cheese, sour cream, sweet sugar, plump raisins, eggs, and aromatic vanilla. Spread the mixture into the baking dish and top it off with a sweet and crunchy mix of brown sugar and crushed cornflakes.
  • Cook in the oven already heated for 30 minutes.
