Indulge in a savory Swiss chard and cheese tart with flaky Pillsbury™ pie crust for a delicious meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 crust from 1 box (14.1 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Pie Crusts (2 Count), softened as directed on box
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
  • 3 1/2 cups chopped rainbow Swiss chard
  • 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
  • 4 oz chèvre (goat) cheese, crumbled (1 cup)
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease a large cookie sheet with cooking spray. Unwrap the pie crust and roll it into a 13-inch round on a lightly floured surface. Gently place the crust onto the prepared cookie sheet.
  • In a large nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté onion for 5 minutes until tender. Add garlic and thyme and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Add Swiss chard and cook for 3 minutes until wilted. Stir in vinegar and cook for 1 more minute. Remove from heat and enjoy.
  • Spread creamy goat cheese generously over the dough, leaving a border of 11/2 inches. Pile on the flavorful chard mixture, sprinkle with rich Parmesan cheese, and strew crunchy walnuts on top. Gently fold the edges of the dough over the delicious filling, creating pleats for an elegant presentation. Bake until beautifully golden for 40 to 45 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before cutting into enticing wedges.
