Swiss Chard with Garlic

Flavorful Swiss chard with garlic and lemon, using both stems and leaves.
Ingredients:
  • 1 bunch Swiss chard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes
  • salt to taste
  • 1 squeeze fresh lemon juice
Instructions:
  • Separate Swiss chard stems and chop into small pieces. Cut leaves into strips. Keep both aside.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil and saute chard stems for 3 to 5 minutes. Add garlic and red pepper flakes; saute for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in chard leaves, cover, and cook for about 2 minutes until wilted. Uncover, stir, and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Season with salt and finish with a squeeze of lemon juice.
