Creamy Swiss cheese and egg noodle lasagna with a unique twist. Perfect with a side salad and fresh Italian bread for a satisfying family dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound bulk Italian sausage
  • 2 (26 ounce) jars chunky style pasta sauce (such as Prego®)
  • 1 (16 ounce) package broad egg noodles
  • 3 (8 ounce) packages sliced Swiss cheese (such as Sargento®)
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Brown ground beef and sausage in a large, deep skillet for about 5 minutes until well browned. Drain excess fat then stir in pasta sauce and bring to a simmer.
  • While the sauce is simmering, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook for about 5 minutes until al dente. Drain well.
  • Layer half of the flavorful meat sauce into the baking dish. Add a layer of half the tender cooked noodles and 1 1/2 packages of sumptuous cheese slices. Repeat the layers with the remaining sauce, noodles, and cheese for ultimate indulgence.
  • Place the uncovered dish in a preheated oven and bake for about 40 minutes, until the cheese is melted and browned. Allow it to stand for 5 minutes before serving.
