Kid-friendly tea cake cookies, perfect for easy frosting without crumbling.
Ingredients:
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup butter flavored shortening
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 6 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions:
  • Combine eggs, butter, sugar, and baking powder until creamy. Mix in the flour until a stiff dough forms.
  • Form into walnut-sized balls and press down gently with the bottom of a glass to flatten.
  • Place the dough on a baking sheet without greasing and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8 minutes. Avoid overbaking to ensure they stay perfectly golden. You can also have fun rolling out the dough and using cookie cutters for different shapes.
