Grilled teriyaki shrimp: sweet, spicy, ready in under an hour.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 0.5 cup pineapple juice
  • 0.5 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Instructions:
  • Combine soy sauce, pineapple juice, brown sugar, Sriracha, sesame oil, and garlic powder in a bowl and whisk until well combined. Pour the mixture into a saucepan and simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes until the teriyaki sauce slightly thickens.
  • In a shallow dish, coat the shrimp with 3/4 of the teriyaki sauce and marinate for 30 minutes, saving the rest for basting.
  • Heat up your outdoor grill until it reaches a pleasant medium-high temperature and give the grill a light coating of oil. Skewer the shrimp.
  • Grill skewers for 3 minutes, then flip and brush shrimp with reserved sauce; grill for another 3 minutes.
