Make delicious sweet and salty spiced nuts for a simple and tasty gift idea.
Ingredients:
  • 1 can (9.5 to 11.5 oz) salted mixed nuts
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 300°F. Combine nuts and butter in a medium bowl until nuts are coated. In a separate small bowl, mix the rest of the ingredients except sugar and sprinkle over the nuts. Stir until the nuts are fully coated. Spread the mixture in a single layer on a 15x10x1-inch pan.
  • Bake without cover for around 10 minutes or until nuts are golden brown. Place back in the bowl. While nuts are still warm, sprinkle with sugar and mix well until coated evenly.
  • Allow the dish to fully cool for approximately 1 hour, then store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 weeks.
