Fall pie with a hint of maple syrup and vanilla extract.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 pastry for a 9-inch double crust pie
  • 5 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Combine sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a small bowl. Press one pastry into a 9-inch pie pan, keeping the other crust aside.
  • Coat the apples in maple syrup and vanilla extract. Layer 1/3 of the apples in the pie pan and sprinkle with the sugar mixture. Repeat with the remaining apples and sugar. Top with the crust and seal the edges by pinching.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the crust turns golden brown, about 30-35 minutes. Let it cool down before serving.
