Irresistible spicy and tangy chicken wings recipe guaranteed to impress.
Ingredients:
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • 2 pounds chicken wing pieces
  • 0.25 cup margarine, melted
  • 0.25 cup hot sauce (such as Frank's RedHot ®)
  • 6 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 pinch dried basil
Instructions:
  • Preheat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and oven to the same temperature.
  • Fry chicken in hot oil in batches until golden and cooked through, about 10 to 15 minutes per batch. Use a slotted spoon to transfer chicken to a paper towel-lined plate. Let cool before handling.
  • Combine margarine, hot sauce, garlic, onion soup mix, lemon juice, and basil in a bowl, stirring until sauce is velvety smooth.
  • Place the chicken in a spacious resealable bag. Pour in the sauce, seal the bag tightly, and shake until the wings are fully coated. Arrange the wings on a baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes until the sauce has baked onto the chicken.
