Transform chicken wings with sweet maple syrup in the crockpot for tender, sticky bites. Finish under the grill for a perfect chargrilled finish.
Ingredients:
  • 148ml bottle Frank’s hot sauce
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) maple syrup
  • 20g butter
  • 1 tsp Italian herbs
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 2.50 gm smoked paprika
  • 1.5 kg chicken wing nibbles
Instructions:
  • Coat a 4.5 litre (18-cup) slow cooker with oil spray.
  • In a medium frying pan over high heat, combine hot sauce, maple syrup, butter, herbs, coriander, and paprika. Bring to a boil.
  • Add the chicken nibbles to the slow cooker and generously coat them with the flavorful sauce. Cook on HIGH for 2 hours (or LOW for 4 hours), ensuring to flip the chicken halfway through, until it's perfectly tender. Carefully transfer the chicken, skin-side up, to a baking tray lined with foil using a slotted spoon.
  • Remove any excess fat from the sauce in the cooker. Transfer the sauce to a medium frying pan and bring it to a boil over high heat. Allow the sauce to boil for 7 minutes, or until it thickens and reduces by two-thirds. Set the sauce aside for later use.
  • Preheat the grill to high heat, then generously brush the sauce over the chicken. Grill for about 5 minutes, or until it's nicely charred. Serve and enjoy!
