Indulge in a delectable summer berry shortcake with creamy brown sugar topping that's sure to please!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pint strawberry, sliced
  • 1 cup raspberries or 1 package (10 ounces) frozen raspberries, thawed and drained
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen (thawed and drained) blueberries
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/3 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
Instructions:
  • Coat fruit with a generous layer of 1/3 cup granulated sugar and allow it to macerate for 1 hour.
  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Combine Bisquick mix, milk, 3 tablespoons granulated sugar, and butter until a soft dough forms. Transfer the dough onto a surface dusted with Bisquick mix and knead 8 to 10 times. Roll out the dough to 1/2 inch thickness, then use a floured 3-inch cutter to cut out shapes.
  • Place the dough on a clean, ungreased baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until it turns a beautiful golden brown.
  • Combine the sour cream with brown sugar. Split the shortcakes, then fill them with fruit and top with the sour cream mixture.
