Savor the flavorful twist in this classic turkey with sage stuffing recipe.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (12 ounce) package dry bread stuffing mix
  • 5 cups water
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 celery, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons dried sage
  • 12 pounds whole turkey, neck and giblets removed
Instructions:
  • Follow the instructions on the stuffing package and then transfer it to a large bowl for later use.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, bring water to a boil. Add onion, celery, and sage, and simmer for 10 minutes or until the onion is soft. Stir the mixture into the prepared stuffing.
  • Prepare the turkey by washing and drying it thoroughly, then generously stuff the body and neck cavities with the delicious stuffing mixture.
  • Roast the turkey in a large pan in the preheated oven for 3 to 3 1/2 hours, until the thigh reaches 180°F (80°C) and the stuffing is at least 165°F (75°C).
