Moist turkey burger enhanced with applesauce, perfect with your favorite toppings.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds ground turkey
  • 1.3333333730698 cups seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 small onion - grated, and juice drained
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons applesauce
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 hamburger buns, split
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Combine the turkey, bread crumbs, onion, eggs, applesauce, chili powder, paprika, and kosher salt in a large bowl until well mixed. Form 8 equal portions into patties.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sizzle the patties in olive oil until golden on both sides, about 3 to 5 minutes per side. Let them rest on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb any excess oil, then move them to a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Cook the turkey burgers in the oven until fully cooked and the juices run clear, approximately 10 minutes. Ensure they reach an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees F. Serve the burgers on the hamburger buns.
