Lean and flavorful turkey mince is a cost-effective ingredient to stock up, freeze, and enjoy later!
Ingredients:
  • 500g turkey mince
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • 82.50 ml chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves
  • 2 middle bacon rashers, trimmed, finely chopped
  • 1 medium brown onion, finely chopped
  • 5.00 gm sweet paprika
  • 1 medium granny smith apple, peeled, grated
  • 141.25 gm barbecue sauce
  • Steamed vegetables, to serve
  • Chicken gravy, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. Grease a 9cm-deep, 9cm x 19cm loaf pan. In a bowl, mix the mince, garlic, parsley, bacon, onion, paprika, apple, and 1/3 cup of barbecue sauce together. Spoon the mixture into the loaf pan, pressing down firmly to level the top.
  • Bake meatloaf for 30 minutes or until golden and pulling away from the pan. Drain juices, spread top with more barbecue sauce, and bake for another 15 minutes until fully cooked. Rest for 5 minutes before serving with steamed veggies and gravy.
