Spicy turkey sausage, green peppers, and mushrooms in a flavorful crustless pie, perfect for any meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound spicy turkey sausage, casings removed
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 0.5 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 0.5 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup biscuit baking mix
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and generously grease a 9-inch pie plate.
  • Cook the turkey sausage, onion, green bell pepper, mushrooms, and garlic in a large skillet over medium heat until the turkey is cooked through, about 8 minutes. Transfer the mixture to the pie plate.
  • Whisk together eggs and milk in a bowl, then mix in the biscuit mix. Pour this batter over the turkey in the pie dish and sprinkle with Cheddar cheese.
  • Bake until the cheese topping turns golden brown and the pie filling thickens and starts to bubble, approximately 30 minutes in the preheated oven.
