Indulge in spicy and soothing warm turmeric almond milk with fresh turmeric and ginger.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (1 1/2 inch) piece fresh turmeric root, peeled and grated
  • 1 (1/2 inch) piece fresh ginger root, peeled and grated
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 pinch ground turmeric
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Mix together freshly grated turmeric root, finely minced ginger root, and a generous drizzle of honey in a bowl, mashing the turmeric and ginger to release their flavorful oils.
  • In a saucepan, gently warm almond milk over medium-low heat until small bubbles start forming. Then, reduce the heat to low. Take about 2 tablespoons of milk and mix it into the turmeric and honey until a smooth paste forms.
  • Combine the turmeric paste with milk in a saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring continuously until well combined. Use an immersion blender to achieve a smooth texture.
  • Pour the fragrant turmeric tea into a cozy mug and generously sprinkle with a touch of ground turmeric and warm cinnamon for added depth of flavor.
