Quick and delicious yeast dough buns in just 60 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons fast-rising yeast
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 6 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 tablespoons water
Instructions:
  • Combine yeast and sugar in a large mixing bowl with warm water. Allow to sit for 10 minutes until creamy.
  • Drizzle oil and add 2 cups of flour and salt; mix thoroughly. Gradually stir in the rest of the flour, 1/2 cup at a time, blending well after each addition. Once the dough comes together, transfer it to a lightly floured surface and knead until silky and elastic for around 8 minutes. Coat a large bowl with a light layer of oil, place the dough in it, and turn to cover with oil. Cover with a moist cloth and allow it to rise in a warm spot until doubled in size, approximately 40 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and separate it into three equal parts. Divide each portion into 6 smaller pieces and shape them into rounds. Arrange the rounds in the prepared pan and cover with a damp cloth or plastic wrap. Allow the rolls to rise until doubled in size, approximately 20 minutes.
  • Whisk the egg white and water until smooth. Lightly coat the proofed rolls with the egg mixture, then bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
