Indulge in juicy pork tenderloin with flavor-packed beer gravy, paired perfectly with creamy mashed potatoes.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 (1 pound) pork tenderloins
  • 1 pinch salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 white onion, chopped
  • 2 (4.5 ounce) jars sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle domestic beer
  • 2 (1 ounce) packages dry onion soup mix
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) to get it ready for baking.
  • Spread flour generously on a work surface. Rinse pork tenderloins and pat them dry, then coat them in flour, shaking off any excess. Season with salt and pepper, leaving a light flour coating on the tenderloins.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, heat oil until shimmering. Brown the pork well on each side, about 2 to 3 minutes per side. Transfer the pork to a medium baking dish, leaving any flavorful oil and drippings in the skillet.
  • In the pan drippings, gently sauté the onion over medium-low heat for 5 minutes. Then, add the mushrooms and continue to sauté until the onion turns translucent and both are cooked, about 5 minutes. Pour this flavorful mixture over the pork.
  • Blend beer and soup mix until smooth. Pour over pork, mushrooms, and onions in the dish, ensuring they are fully covered. Cover with foil securely.
  • Cook the pork in the preheated oven until it's slightly pink in the center and the gravy is bubbling, approximately 1 hour. Let it rest covered outside the oven for an additional 10 minutes to finish cooking. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure the center reaches at least 145 degrees Fahrenheit (63 degrees Celsius).
