Effortlessly make vegan cinnamon rolls with a bread machine for easy kneading.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup warm almond milk
  • 0.25 cup vegan margarine, melted
  • 5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts, or more to taste
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon, or more to taste
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon vegan margarine, melted
Instructions:
  • Combine almond milk, melted vegan margarine, 1/2 cup sugar, salt, vanilla, and flour in a bread machine following the specified order. Set it on the Dough setting to begin.
  • Combine warm water, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and yeast in a glass measuring cup.
  • Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C) for just 1 minute, then turn it off and place the yeast mixture inside to proof for 15 minutes.
  • Pour the activated yeast mixture into the bread machine and allow it to complete its cycle, approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes more.
  • Roll out the dough into a 12x18-inch rectangle. Combine brown sugar, walnuts, and cinnamon in a bowl, then evenly spread over the dough. Roll up the dough into a log, slice into 1-inch wide pieces, and place them in a greased baking pan with the cut sides facing up.
  • Preheat the oven at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 1 minute, then turn off the heat. Place the rolls and an uncovered bowl of boiling water inside. Let the rolls proof for 1 hour.
  • Take the rolls out of the oven and preheat it to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place the rolls in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
  • Combine powdered sugar, almond milk, and melted vegan margarine in a bowl to make the glaze.
  • Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the freshly baked rolls.
