Ingredients:
  • 40g butter
  • 4 ripe bananas, thickly sliced diagonally
  • 70g (1/3 cup, firmly packed) brown sugar
  • 80ml (1/3 cup) white rum
  • 40.40 gm thickened cream
  • 4 bought waffles
  • 4 scoops vanilla ice-cream, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, melt half of the butter. Add the banana and cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it turns golden brown. Transfer the banana to a bowl.
  • Heat a pan over medium heat and add the remaining butter, sugar, rum, and cream. Bring to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally, and cook for 3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Toast the waffles until golden brown. Place them elegantly on serving plates. Top with fresh slices of banana and a generous scoop of creamy ice cream. Finish by artfully drizzling with your favorite sauce. Serve promptly to enjoy at its best.
