Easy bread machine recipe: Sweetened with molasses and brown sugar, studded with raisins and caraway seeds. Quick and delicious!
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon distilled white vinegar
  • 0.66600000858307 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup margarine
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 pinch baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seed
  • 1.5 teaspoons bread machine yeast
  • 0.75 cup raisins
Instructions:
  • Mix together the vinegar and milk, allowing them to sit for 15 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  • Follow your bread machine's instructions to layer in the vinegar mixture, brown sugar, egg, butter, salt, molasses, bread flour, baking soda, caraway seeds, and yeast.
  • Select your bread machine's basic cycle and choose the medium crust setting. Add the raisins as directed by the manufacturer.
  • To simplify, use a bread machine to mix the dough. Once done, shape it into a loaf, let it rise until almost doubled, for about 1 hour. Then bake in a 375°F (190°C) preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
